Who We Are

Founded in February 2026 in Casablanca, ADAFP unites liberal democratic organizations across the African continent.

The African Democratic Alliance for Freedom and Progress (ADAFP) is a pan-African liberal democratic alliance bringing together political parties, civic movements, and reform-minded organizations committed to accountable governance, individual freedom, and inclusive economic progress across Africa.

Founded in February 2026 in Casablanca, Morocco, ADAFP today counts 46 member organizations spanning 24 African countries, working together to strengthen democratic institutions, protect civil liberties, and build bridges between reformist movements across the continent.

Our alliance operates on the principle that durable prosperity in Africa depends on strong democratic institutions, the rule of law, and governments that are genuinely accountable to their citizens.
