
Jawad Chafil serves as Coordinator of the African Democratic Alliance for Freedom and Progress (ADAFP), playing a key role in supporting organizational development, coordination, and outreach across the continent.
He is the President of YALDA Morocco (Youth Alliance for Leadership and Development in Africa), a dynamic platform dedicated to empowering young leaders and promoting democratic values, leadership, and sustainable development. He is also a former Vice President of the Africa Liberal Network, reflecting his active engagement in advancing liberal and progressive ideas across Africa.
Jawad has been involved in political and civic activism since his university years. After returning to Morocco in 2013, he joined a political organization and quickly rose to a leadership role as a local coordinator in Anfa. His work has consistently focused on promoting inclusivity, tolerance, and youth participation in political life.
Having spent nearly a decade in Australia, Jawad gained valuable international experience that has shaped his global outlook on governance, development, and political engagement. He has actively participated in international forums and conferences, representing organizations such as the Africa Liberal Network and the Arab Liberal Alliance.
In 2020, he further demonstrated his commitment to democracy by serving as an international observer during the presidential elections in Côte d’Ivoire, contributing to efforts to ensure transparency and electoral integrity.
As Coordinator of ADAFP, he brings strong experience in youth mobilization, international networking, and political organization, supporting the Alliance’s mission to strengthen democracy, freedom, and development across the continent.
