Walter Torres Hernandez serves as Adviser on EU–AU and AU-Latin Amierca Relations to the African Democratic Alliance for Freedom and Progress (ADAFP), bringing extensive experience in international affairs, global business, and institutional cooperation.
Working between Africa,  Brussels and Bogota, he is an experienced manager with a strong background in international institutions, emerging markets, negotiation, and geopolitics. He has a deep understanding of Africa’s political landscape and the dynamics shaping relations between Africa and the European Union.
Walter has worked for over a decade with the European Commission, including in the management of EU electoral observation missions, contributing to the promotion of democratic processes and institutional accountability worldwide.
In addition to his public and advisory roles, he is active in the private sector as a managing partner and legal representative in international business ventures, particularly in emerging markets. This dual experience enables him to bridge policy, diplomacy, and economic cooperation.
As Adviser on EU–AU Relations, Walter Torres Hernandez supports ADAFP in strengthening strategic partnerships between Africa ,  Europe and Latin Amierca, promoting dialogue, and advancing cooperation on democracy, governance, and sustainable development.
