Press Brief – ADAFP Activities Update
27 March 2026
The African Democratic Alliance for Freedom and Progress (ADAFP) is pleased to highlight the continued engagement of its Secretary General, Eddie D. Jarwolo, in advancing the Alliance’s mission to promote democratic values and youth political participation across Africa.
As part of this effort, Naymote Partners for Democratic Development in Liberia, an ADAFP member organization successfully convened its Third Annual Summit on Democracy and Political Accountability from 24–25 March 2026, under the theme: “Sustaining Liberia’s Democracy through Accountability, Inclusion, and Rule of Law.” The summit brought together over 80 participants from across the country and featured a keynote address by the Chief Justice of Liberia.
On 26 March 2026, in Gbarnga, Bong County, the Secretary General facilitated an interactive session with youth representatives from various political parties. During the engagement, he presented ADAFP as a leading Pan-African platform dedicated to advancing democratic transformation across the continent.
The session generated strong interest and constructive dialogue, with participants expressing their willingness to engage further with ADAFP’s communication platforms to sustain collaboration.
This activity was conducted within the framework of the Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy (NIMD) Democracy School in Gbarnga, where 22 young political party leaders participated in discussions on youth participation and leadership.
These engagements reflect ADAFP’s continued commitment to strengthening linkages with emerging political actors and expanding its outreach at both national and continental levels. The Alliance considers such initiatives essential to fostering informed, accountable, and forward-looking political leadership across Africa.
ADAFP remains committed to promoting inclusive political participation and will continue to share updates on its activities and programs.
