
Mmusi Maimane is a South African politician, leader, and advocate for democratic governance. He serves as President of the African Democratic Alliance for Freedom and Progress (ADAFP) and is the leader of Build One South Africa, a political party focused on inclusive development and reform.
Maimane previously made history as the first black leader of South Africa’s Democratic Alliance (2015–2019) and served as Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly. Over the years, he has built a reputation as a reformist voice committed to accountability, constitutionalism, and ethical leadership.
In addition to his political work, Maimane is a businessman, author, and community leader. He holds advanced degrees in public administration and theology, reflecting his combined focus on governance, ethics, and social development.
Through his leadership in ADAFP, he promotes a pan-African vision centered on freedom, democracy, and sustainable development.
