Khadija Oum Bachair El Morabit serves as Adviser to the President of the African Democratic Alliance for Freedom and Progress (ADAFP) on Gender Affairs, bringing over two decades of international experience in gender equality, political leadership, and women’s empowerment.
She is the President of the International Network of Liberal Women (INLW), a global organization with consultative status at the United Nations, and the Founder of its Morocco Chapter. Through this role, she leads global initiatives promoting women’s political participation, civic engagement, and inclusive governance across more than 70 countries .
Khadija is also a Regional President and National Board Member of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs in Morocco (AFEM), where she has played a leading role in advancing women’s economic empowerment and entrepreneurship. Her leadership has contributed to the development of training programs, business incubators, and policy advocacy initiatives supporting women-led enterprises.
Recognized internationally for her influence, she was named by Forbes Middle East in 2013 as one of the “Most Influential Arab Businesswomen in Family Businesses” in the MENA region. She holds an Executive MBA in International Management from École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées (Paris) and École Hassania des Travaux Publics (Casablanca), as well as a Higher National Diploma in Business and Finance from London.
Her career spans politics, civil society, and international consultancy. She has held leadership roles within political parties, including serving as President of the women’s wing of the Mouvement Populaire in Morocco, and has been actively engaged in international liberal networks, including Liberal International and the Africa Liberal Network.
A trained facilitator and frequent participant in International Academy for Leadership (IAF) programs, she has contributed to numerous international seminars on political leadership, women’s empowerment, and democratic development. She has also served as an international election observer and regularly participates in global forums on human rights, governance, and gender equality.
As Adviser on Gender Affairs to ADAFP, Khadija El Morabit provides strategic guidance on integrating gender equality into the Alliance’s policies and programs, promoting women’s leadership, and ensuring inclusive participation in democratic processes across Africa.
