About the Leader
Dr. Ayman Nour (born 1964) is a prominent Egyptian liberal politician, former member of Parliament, and founder of the El Ghad (Tomorrow) Party. He is best known for running against Hosni Mubarak in Egypt's 2005 presidential election, subsequently facing imprisonment on politically motivated charges before going into exile in Istanbul following the 2013 coup.
Dr. Nour He was a leading opposition figure who founded the El Ghad party and later the Ghad el-Thawrah party. He was imprisoned for over three years following his 2005 presidential bid.

Emerging from a split in the original Al-Ghad party, it initially joined the 2011-2012 Democratic Alliance, led by the Muslim Brotherhood's FJP, before later aligning with other coalitions
