ASOLI Progressives Party

Asoli association was established in March 2025.We had only six months to prepare before the local authority elections that was held in Nov 2025.Our association was registered to participate in the capital city Windhoek and the coastal town of Swakopmund.We paricipated in Windhoek we had 18 well established political parties and we namaged to come out of the elections at number 8 position.While in Swakopmund we had 11 political paries and we come out at number 5.This have shown us that we have the potential to grow into a fully fledged political party.We however did not manage to obtain any seat int he two local authorites we particapted in.

Our Party leader Hon Josef Kauandenge is a well known political leader in NAMIBIA.He is a lawyer by profession and a apart time musician as well.If you take time to google his name on the internet you will find a well documented political yourney of over 30 years in the political life of Namibia.He started politics as a young man in 1988 and let various students organizations from 1990 till 2000.THERE AFTER he was elected as Secretary General of Nudo of NAMIBIA a political party in 2003 at age 27.He then briefly went into music between 2004 and 2014 earning a name for himself in the music industry.HE COME back to party politics in 2015,when he was elected as a municipal councillor in the city of windhoek between 2015 till 2019 then in 2020 till 2025 he was elected as a member of parliament.He was also elected as the secretary general of NUDO OF NAMIBIA from 2020 til 2025 at the same time being a member of parliament.He resigned as SG OF NUDO OF NAMIBIA IN MARCH 2025,then he wen on to form ASOLI.
