Information
he Morocco section of the International Network of Liberal Women (INLW) was founded by Khadija El Morabit, a prominent Moroccan liberal activist and political leader known for her commitment to advancing women’s rights, equal opportunities, and political participation within a liberal democratic framework.
As part of the global INLW family, the Moroccan section aims to promote liberal values among women, strengthen their presence in public life, and support their access to leadership positions across political, economic, and social spheres. Under El Morabit’s leadership, the organization became a platform for empowering women through training programs, policy dialogues, capacity-building workshops, and international cooperation with liberal partners around the world.
The Moroccan chapter has been active in:
advocating for legal reforms that enhance women’s rights and civic freedoms,
supporting young women leaders within liberal political parties,
engaging in regional and global networks to amplify Moroccan women’s voices,
and promoting debates on democracy, gender equality, and socio-economic development.
Through its activities, the Morocco section has contributed to building a modern, liberal, and inclusive political culture, positioning Morocco as one of the leading countries in the MENA region in terms of women’s engagement within liberal movements.
