Sudan of the Future

Rudwan Dawoud (often spelled Rudwan Dawood or Daoud) is a Sudanese politicain and activist known for his involvement in the Girifna youth movement and Sudan of the Future. He gained significant attention in 2012 for his active role in organizing non-violent protests against the Sudanese government during a period of economic hardship.
Dawoud was arrested by Sudanese security forces seberal times in 2012, 2017 and 2019, he was held for several weeks and months and faced serious charges, including the establishment of a "terrorist organization" and spying, which were punishable by death.
Rudwan has been involved in peace-building work, including Muslim-Christian reconciliation projects in South Sudan.

"Sudan of the Future" is a cross-party political movement within the Republic of Sudan that advocates for a democratic, secular, and inclusive state, focusing on principles such as public investment, a green economy, and universal basic income.
Key aspects of the movement for the future of Sudan is the complete ending of the civil war, the establishment of a fully civilian state, on the principles of freedom, justice, and accountability.
The movement seeks a democratic transformation, which involves reversing military rule and establishing a democratic, stable, and representative system.
Despite war between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), where SoF is supporting SAF, the movement persists, aiming for a post-conflict, democratic, and secular Sudan, opposing the return of the former regime or military dictatorship.
